The Feast Calamba measures its mission by its roots. For almost a decade, we didn’t just visit the BJMP Calamba Infirmary; we stayed.
This consistent presence taught us that the most transformative gift we can offer isn't a grand program, but the commitment to never walk away.
This past Holy Week, the servants spent Good Friday (Infirmary) and Easter Sunday (Main Jail) holding a recollection for our dear brothers and sisters in prison.
While society often views prison solely as a place of punishment or isolation, we have come to see it as a sacred space for profound reflection.
Inside those walls, we meet people who are carrying the weight of deep regret and the crushing silence of loneliness. As servants, we’ve learned that sometimes the most "spiritual" or "holy" thing we can do for them is not to preach, but to simply offer a compassionate ear. As we listened to them, we realized that every one has a story that deserves to be heard, and that many of them are using their time inside to seek the path toward healing and redemption.
Beyond the material support we provided this year—which included 270 hygiene kits, 200 packs of bread, and 240 packs of coffee—our ultimate goal is to feed the soul.
We want to remind every PDL that they are not forgotten by the world outside; that The Feast Calamba Family stands with them, prays with them, and journeys with them through their darkest hours.
